The motel was built and opened in 1963, per Clark County Assessor and newspaper records. The motel sign was designed by Jimmy Dix at YESCO.
The motel was shut down by the city in 2006 after being deemed unfit for human habitation. The property, along with neighboring apartments, were bought by Tony Hsieh’s Downtown Project in 2013 for $2.8M. The apartment residents were evicted. The properties were never rehabilitated.
